elevators

When you get onto an elevator, where do you stand? I usually press the button then go to the back of the elevator.

I often like to stand after the control panel. I like to control it as it will give me more security. Besides, it is nearby the exit. If there is something wrong, I can leave right away.

I have been on a few elevators that I did'nt feel secure no matter where I stood at or what buttons I pressed.

I do to. I think that is the prefered way. A teacher of mine used to do experiments in the elevator: he'd walk in and stand right inside the door facing the other people there. It would always make people extremely uncomfortable.

I could not comfortably stand by the door, I would feel that everyone else was watching me.
