I go to a local casino here whenever I have the extra cash. They send me a lot of comps from using my card in the machines etc when I play there. They sent me a Birthday Card along with a coupon for $15, a free room, and a free buffet when I buy one. usually the free rooms I get are only good from Sunday through Thursday as they like the cash on weekends for the rooms. But this time it is good any day at all during the whole month of May. The other coupns are good the same period of time as well. So this will be better for my wife as well. Now if my wife only remembers my birthday the 25th of May. She always forgets it until I ask for something special for my birthday. Does your significant other or any family or friends forget your birthday?HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

My birthday is on May 30th and my husband never remembers. My kids usually phone me first, then my mom, before my husband remembers. Then he just says, oh yeah, happy birthday. He doesn't have a romantic bone in him, so for him to even say it is something. He doesn't even remember his own kids birthdays and I always have to remind him about a week before and then the day before and then the day of, again, or he forgets and doesn't phone them. Happy birthday to you and me, this month. Lucky you to have free tickets, I wish I had some, even if I don't go to gamble, but just to get away for a day or two would be nice.

5 days after mine. My wife also is not the romantic type where as I am. She gets too embarrassed actually over a card even. I tried sending flowers to her work one year for her birthday and she did not like that idea as people at her wok started singing to her etc. I am hoping for some concert tickets again this coming month.

Hi GRANDPA BOB! Wow, that is a very advanced birthday gift from the casino. Maybe you can show the birthday card to GRANDMA DEBBIE now so she won't forget or just place the card to where she can see it everyday!
My hubby never forgets my birthday and he usually greets me everyday as soon as the month of my birthdays comes. 
However, my family usually forgets and greet me the day after my birthday! Just my thoughts dear friend. Take care and have a nice day!

Oh don't worry I will be reminding her as the day approaches. I need more cash to spend when we stay overnight at the casino. I always remember my wifes birthday. But I always forget when my grandsons birthdays are. My daughter always remins me though.

What a great 'early' gift to receive. I love getting freebies like this, although it doesn't happen too often, because I don't go to casinos. I just don't get out as much as I should, but maybe now that the nice weather is here. I do hope that your wife remembers your special day, this year.
As for me, my family and friends usually remember my birthday, however it sometimes gets lost in the shuffle. My daughter's is the day after mine, and then my grandson's is the next day. If I don't do something special for mine, right on the day, they get around to it eventually. I don't mind, as long as I at least get to go out to dinner, and hopefully have a cake, or at least a piece of one. I've gotten some really nice gifts over the years too, and it turns out to be a whole string of celebrations in a row, for our family. Oh yes, and my niece's birthday is four days before mine.

Yeah they love me. Well they love my money actually. Well with the nicer weather get out somewhere. Even if it's for a walk or window shopping etc. I roda about 5 miles again this morning as it was so nice. My moms and sisters were 2 days apart and I always forgot whose was when. This will be my wifes BIG 50 birthday. I want to something silly and funny for her as well. Any suggestions? HAH!

I have thought about a HUGE billbord sign asking people to honk because it's her 50th. I live on a busy street as well so that would be hilarious. Or maybe 50 Pink Flamingos on the lawn. I have no idea as of yet. Yeah maybe a silly singing telegram delievered to her at work during dinner rush. Now that would be funny. I've made a plan of trying to ride a few miles each day weather permitting. I need to lose this paunch I've collected over the winter.

Still, it's nice that they go all out like this, for their patrons. I commend you on all of that bike riding. I'll take the advice you've given, and will start going for a short walk, on a regular basis, ASAP. I'm still trying to get my thyroid condition under control, as I think my meds are off, so am not feeling great today again, dizzy spells, etc. Then there's the fact that I walk with a cane, but I can still go slowly.
When's your wife's big day? I don't suppose she'd go for the sign on the lawn, etc., etc. She'd probably kill you. Would she like a small (or big) party? That's always a nice surprise for a milestone birthday. If not at home, maybe everyone could meet at a favourite restaurant of her's. I had this for my 50th birthday. My husband did forget my birthday again this year. It was on April 6th, and he only remembered it because when I went to check the mail, I had a birthday card from my sister in law. I did feel sorry for myself, because everyone forgot, but I'm over it now. My husband must have felt very bad, because he told me I could get another puppy if I want one, and I am planning on getting one now. He also gave me a large amount of money to spend on myself, which I also intend to do.
Your birthday falls on the same day as my son's. He will turn 33. Have fun at the casino.

LOL about the casino remembering your b-day when your wife forgets - man, I would milk that one forever!!! I've actually been guilty of this once! Hubby's b-day is on the 23rd of April and a few years ago we had planned to celebrate that weekend. Well, I bought presents, card, etc, but for some reason had set in my mind that his the actual day was during the weekend (I think it was on a Tue or Thur or something). So his birthday gets here and I didn't even remember to wish him a happy one. He, of course didn't mention it until about 10:30 that night as we were going to bed - I felt terrible. BTW - he still reminds me of the year I "forgot" his birthday, usually when he wants something we shouldn't buy.

Oh, you had better believe I'll be milking this till the 25th of May. I'll be asking for my casino copms from her as well. Funny. So do you remember it now though? My wife is great for forgetting about our wedding anneverisary. They even sent me a postcard as well.

My husband and son usually remember my birthday (may 5) but my daughter for two years didn't get me card or even say happy birthday, even after the others did. We all live together so it's hard to completely miss one another's birthdays. I was a wee bit offended as we do a lot for our kids, what with them living here virtually for free, and I watch her daughter (our sweet granddaughter) all summer and get her off to school.. and some weekends as well.. And everyone expects a gift from me for their birthday! Hubby never used to remember.. And I totally spaced out his 50th birthday!

yes casinos go all out to make their patrons welcome, this is the first time I heard about birthday coupons, but I am not surprised. I hope you enjoy your stay at a nice hotel. Sounds wonderful, wish somebody had done that for my birthday.

I get coupons each year for my Birthday. But this year it's a room and buffet and room. Used to be just cash and a half off room. Thanks also.

That is great. I used to go to a local casino of ours also and they used to send me a $20.00 coupon to play on the games on the bost. The problem is, we live at least 50 miles from the casino boat and gas would cost me more than what they gave me to play, most likely. They haven't sent me anything for my birthday in quite some time now.

I am about 40 miles or so from ours and go there at least once a month. But with a free room, the free cash and the free buffet it is worth the gas for me to go there. Plus I have a blast too.

Wow! I know where you will be going for your b-day. lol Can't beat a free room on the weekend plue all the other goodies you always get. My hubby and I never forget each other's b-day even thou we never do anything special.

get the room for a Sunday and leave early to swim and exercise
then gamble and eat afterwards.

Good for you Uncle Bob what anice present and freebies besides.My son never remembers my birthday and if he has to fill in my name on anylegal document he always has to ask me for my birthday. so I do him one better. I buy my own birthday present.My husband was the same way. He could never remember my birthday either so agani I do gift myself.Thinking about birthday cards be wary of those ecards that claim someone has sent you an ecard for your birthday. I fell for one of those and luckily I have AVG on my computer as it immediately told me I had a virus and then deleted it for me.

We used to go to the casinos quite a bit and the more you spend, the more they will comp you, but it has to be on their terms, you have to spend a lot more and they will spend a little more.. But if you are going anyway, then the extras are so very nice.. After 43 years, my husband has never forgotten my birthday.. He is probably more of a softie than I am.. I do forget, I don't know why but I do..

Wow--- that is awesome that the casino sent you all that for your birthday :) Now you just need to have the other cash to gamble :) A free room is fantastic! I wish our casino would do that- I guess they might if I went more often! I'm thinking of taking a trip down this summer- It's in Niagara Falls- I like the Canadian side casino better than the American side casino.

Bruce always remembers my birthday early. This past week he bought me a table/umbrella and chairs for my deck and a HUGE cement turtle planter. My birthday isn't for over a week yet. LOL

LOL. even now i am separate from my parents and live alone but during my birth day they still remember it even i don't celebrate on my own. aside from that my friend also remember my special day. they send text messages and if they extra loads they call me and extend their birthday greetings to me. i am very thankful to all of them for their concern.
