Be deducted from our 2008 tax refund check? My sister is under the impression that this years Stimulus Payment will be deducted from the tax refunds that will be sent out later. I am not sure, though I have found nothing to indicate it online. She says that there was another such Stimulus payment around the year 2001, which had to be paid back. Do you know?

I keep hearing this too, mostly from my parents. As far as I know it will not need to be paid back. It really bums me out though - we are going to use ours entirely paying our bills and buying groceries. I also want to renew my real estate license and that's a quick $200 gone, also. Gas & grocery prices are killing me! It just seems you can never get ahead no matter how hard you try...my hubby gets decent income from his job but it's just enough for us to scrape by because we are spending an extra $400 on groceries & gas each month.

Don't be bummed that it is gong to bills. Be thankful it is coming through to help with bills when you need it. Only $200 to renew you license. That's not bad, in Missouri it cost $600 to renew. Almost every realtor I kow gave it up this year and got a job elsewhere.

I noticed how your star had dropped while you were gone. I know that you don't even get involved in any controversy, so I don't know what gives. I believe that Mylot should either fix the star rating or get rid of it. I know that I for one will try and say that it does not bother me, but some how it just does. Every morning, I check to see if it has gone up. It hasn't moved at all.

I can definitely understand that. Everyone could use a break from the high prices of food and gas. I am glad that no one will have to pay it back.

They have been sharing the information on our News Channels here that you will not have to pay back any of the $$ in taxes, or claim it as income on your taxes next yr. Otherwise I am sure they would not be offering people on Disability a chance to get at least $300 back would they? But I was like you wondering the same thing until I heard it confirmed for sure.

According to the IRS, if you receiving a Stimulus check, you will not have to claim the money on your 2008 tax return and you will not have to pay any of it back. This is also what I have read and heard in the media. Hope this helps!
