Concealed weapons on campus

There has been a huge movement in the United States to allow students to carry concealed weapons. The recent school shootings (Virginia Tech especially) have been cited as reasons why students should be allowed to carry concealed weapons for their own safety. What do you think of the effort to allow students to carry GUNS? Personally, I think it's a horrible idea. College is a very stressful time, and several students are too passionate and impulsive to be trusted with a weapon. I know that this sounds like I'm degrading college students, but I would fear for my safety more if everyone got to carry around a gun. I'm currently enrolled, and I know how high strung most of these people are. I don't think that more guns will end violence.
