How do you choose the topics?

I know the obvious truism that the topic that interests you would be your choice and this is how I have been making my posts. The thought that it is best to start a new post and make it thought-provoking so that it will get responses also arises to spur the action. How do you choose your posts?

I choose a topic that I feel I can give a good response to. If I feel that I can't answer it well I skip it.

That is so true and I do that as a matter of course. However, sometimes I feel like being a little bit more thoughtful and consider something that I do not think about as a matter of course and throw caution to the wind and put in my two cent's worth. Cheers!
