Me, I suck at using the typical wall calendar and mainly because of the tiny boxes you have to stuff things in, I have to hang a huge desk calendar on my wall because things have to stick out at me or Ill forget to look at the calendar, see how eventful my day is;) I tried the appointment books but the same thing with space and I don't like carrying around more stuff than I have to, like diapers, change of clothes for two kids, camera, id book, my books, kids books, SERIOUS. I will go through alot of my papers every month and try to narrow down the excess papers and that usually helps get me back on track and able to focus on today instead of yesterday, did i do this or did i do that. Oh, and Im a big fan of LISTING because its quick to look at and remember what you need to do or pick, etc Anyone have any useful ideas for keeping organized, disorganized is my name.

Very good discussion When I had my baby 7 months ago. I learned really quick that I was going to have to keep a planner. I have to keep track of appointments for two other people. And I cant rember it all. before her I would just try to cramm it in my head and It was stupid. Now I even use sticky notes if i Really think I will forget.Oh and lists are super awesome. It espically makes you feel well, when you have checked everything off. I think you feel super accomplished!

oh girl, when I close to giving birth my mothers anxiety had nothing to do with the typical fears but how in the WORLD am I going to keep up with all those appointments, LOL, sticky notes are awesome, reminds me of a movie I saw where a girls friend lived across the hall from her and everyday would be sticking notes on her door to remind her or tell her something.

For shopping lists, I use a note pad and write things down as soon as I remember I need them. But, for calendars, I use an online calendar and a Yahoo Widget that sits right on my desktop where I can see my calendar pretty easily. I agree with you about appointment books and the like, I just don't use those and they take up desk space. But, having that widget is a huge help. And, I can give the link to my friends so that they can see it, too, and know when I'm busy.
