Yeh sure why not if you want to possibly ruin their skin and give them cancer by the time they are like 15. Why would any child need a tan for goodness sake thats truely appalling i dont even let my kids tan in the sun and im sure they will thank me for it when they have clear perfect skin and look like a young teenage not a 50 year old wrinkled woman cos thats all their make their skin look like using a tanning bed at that age!

There is no way you could get me to put my child on a tanning bed. That is the perfect way to age them beofre they are ready I dont care what the reason is. Children shouldent be worried about that stuff and quite frankly neighter whould adults those tanning beds are only making them age faster. Yeah it looks good for now but when they are older it wont look so pretty.

Absolutely not! There is no reason on Gods green earth to put an 8 year old on a sun bed. No child needs a tan bad enough to risk any health hazards no matter how small.

I very much agree with you..definately not!!..why on earth a child of that age would even need to think about having a tan in the first place defeats me!

oh dear, no - I certainly do not think that is a good idea... not only does it damage skin and promote cancers, why would it be a good idea to encourage the vice of vanity especially in one so young?

Thats so true, when you think that they grow up quickly enogh without encouraging them even further.

I would not allow my children to use a sunbed until they were 16 years old and even then it would have to be with my consent!! Thats like letting an 8 year old get a tattoo!!! Im surprised tanning salons are allowed to let children as young as 8 years old use them!!

I wholeheartedly agree with you....its absolutely silly!!

Everyones first reaction is OMG NO! But there are some incidences when I think that it is okay. Sunbeds help with a variety of skin conditions. My boyfriend has a skin condition and sun helps it a lot, but since we live in north east England, the sun is a very rare thing. So when he was younger in the winter, he would go on sunbeds, prescribed by his doctor to control his skin if it got really bad.
