Does anyone have any proof of this??
The only information I can find pertains to a 2005 change in policy where Ebay removed ratings from "left by members indefinitely suspended within 90 days of their registration "

I left feedback today as well, after I posted this. The options were still there. So I don't know what is going on.

Well I hope they don't remove it because it is a good measurement for when I buy something..If I see too many negatives, I won't buy from that person, I call it protection for the buyer to see what kind of seller I am dealing with..

Are they removing feedback altogether? I have not heard anything about it. I do know you can contact ebay to have unfair feedback removed but that is the only thing I really know about. I guess I didn't see the discussion about feeback earlier I will have to see if I can find it and read it.

That is the post.
I did realize that after I posted this that the person who started that discussion is trying to promote another auction site that does not charge fees. May all be a big lie.

Feedback is not being removed but they are changing the way feedback can be left. The changes come into effect on the 1st May

hi sedel.
I think what you are refering to is the new policy that ebay have introduced in which sellers can no longer leave negative feedback for buyers all you can leave now is neutral and positive.
It's a stupid crazy idea of theirs but then again what else do they ever come up with.

I believe the feedback policy change is for buyers that are abusing the feedback system. It seems designed to protect sellers from receiving neg feedback from buyers that either don't pay, slow pay or are causing problems.
You can still neg a seller that doesn't deliver what they promised, but this is too protect sellers from receiving retalitory negatives.
