Bad plastic in bottled water

I've recently been reading a lot about the plastic used in bottled water and baby bottles being very bad for you and possibly causing hormone disruptions. This plastic, called Bisphenol-a or BPA, was just banned in Canada, and is expected to be phased out of use in the U.S. over the next year. Will this make you NOT buy bottled water? We recently bought some reusable Sigg and Klean Kanteen bottles made of aluminum and stainless steel, which I think is better. The issue is that we don't have very good tap water where we live, and the containers we have to store our filtered water in is made of this bad plastic. Any suggestions on 5 gallon containers NOT made of plastic? Where could we buy these containers? Will you continue to purchase bottled water? What about baby bottles? Do you believe that this plastic is actually bad for you?

Well, I don't know, children may be getting hurt from it. There are some findings that this chemical may be what's causing ADHD, autism, and other developmental disorders.
