Gators and turtles and deer OH MY!

Today here in Central Florida was B E A U tiful. So we took the boat out on the St Johns River. It was 80 degrees, partly cloudy, light breeze PERFECT. The river itself is gorgeous I enjoy it a lot. My city is right along the river, so we go often to take its serene beauty. After we left the marina, we saw something rather odd, that we have never seen before. It was a water devil. There was a light breeze. We look ahead and there is a disturbance in the water. It looked like someone had a little bitty jet ski and was making it go in circles.. it was spraying water up in a tornadic fashion. as we got closer, we saw no one or nothing that could cause this. We came up on it and it moved from one side of the river to the other in that fashion. It was at the mouth of a canal, so it must have picked up a cross breeze strong enough to carry it all the way across.. It was like the Tasmanian (Water) Devil. It was pretty wild. Anyway.. we spent the rest up the day leisurely cruising up the river. We saw about 100 turtles .. 50 gators.. mostly babies and even a doe a deer a female deer. The sad thing is at the end of the day.. we saw a wrecked boat in the woods. Law enforcement was guarding it. At the marina where we put in, there was all kings of cops and all the local news stations there. I am not sure what happened, there was nothing on the 6 oclock news.. we will have to wait till 10 How did you spend your Saturday? I hope it was as enjoyable as mine. (without tragedy at the end)
