I hate these critters. They get into everything. How do you get ants to keep from coming in your house? How do you kill em?

I got some information for some people here at Mylot about 2 yrs, ago, they said that you can take some cornmeal. and it will run all the ants away. I haven't try it yet but I am going to real soon. How are you? I hope all is well!

u can buy lime at lowes and home depot.when u get it just follow the instruction on the label. u will be all set. i did some research i wanted to make sure the info i gave u was accurate. it says it doesnt harm pets. i would advise you to watch them. make sure they do go where the lime is. u know that u have to take procautions with things like that. it may have some hidden danger that isn't listed on the package. as far as i know it safe for pets. i just want to let u know. i wouldn't want anything to happen to your pets. i hope the info i gave u helps. have a good day!

I hate ants too! They are really a nuisance. I know that ants do not like ground cloves, so if you have a trail coming into your house or they are by your sink you can sprinkle down ground cloves and they will go away. Besides, cloves smell great so it is like putting a room deodorizer/freshner out. And it is not poisonous so it is ok around kids and pets. Just don't buy the expensive name brand cloves, look for the generic ones in the bottles at the dollar store or in the Mexican food section at the grocery store, they are much more reasonable. Hope that helps! :D

i have the same problem. i have ants every where. i know to keep them out of your house. u have to apply lime all the way around your house on the edges where the concrete is. if they get into their house. u can use ant bait(red and white can). it works really well. set in places where they go. the ants will walk right into it thinking its food. they will start disappearing in a few days.

We get ants in the house occasionally, it totally depends on whereabouts in the garden they have built there nest. Boiling hot water from a kettle kills them, but I think that it is cruel to do that and I stopped my hubby from doing it. So now we just get the ant powder to put down around the outside of the house, and it stops them from coming in.

I probably have a huge ant hill under my trailer-lol Im not going under there no telling what I would find-LOL I never heard of using boiling water before. I do know about controlled burning. But not good to do close to the house/trailer. Ive not found any powder or granulas that work.

I do get ants at the beginning of spring. I use ant motels and within a week are so they are all gone. I hate all kinds of bugs. So this bothers me until they are disappear.
