Out of the blue gifts

I recently received a virtual gift from a member of Gaia because I was a fan of the Bonzo dog doo dah band and I was extremely chuffed that someone would do that.
I'm not sure about real life especially if it was a male stranger who sent me one. I'd probably be a bit suspicious of their intentions.
Luckily I've never received a gift in real life but I wondered if anyone else had received a virtual or real gift from a stranger and how did you feel about it?

Have I added you as friend on gaia yet? I can't remember. We should start a Bonzo's Guild on there, though it probably wouldn't be very popular, I'm still trying to get enough interest to start a garth Marenghi's dark place one.
On IMVU once someone bought me something from my wishlist with a message saying "sorry we got off on the wrong foot hope this makes things better" or something like that, and I think the guy had got mixed up with someone else as I didn't even know who he was.

As far as I can tell there are about 10 people with the Bonzos in their interests but I don't know if it's worth starting a guild.
I did ask the member who sent the gift if she wanted to join our forum but she said she was too inundated with other internet stuff to join us.

OMG I've not been on Gaia in YRS....as for recieving gifts from strangers....I was working at a club in Fort Erie (several yrs ago) and a customer came in and brought me a BOX FULL of all different keychains LOL..he'd noticed that I collected them the last time he'd been in the bar and thought I'd like all of them LOL I thought it was sweet actually...Oh and I had another guy from another bar that I worked at bring me a teeshirt home from his trip to Jamaica LOL that was funny too..Actually now that I think about it.. I have actually gotten several "gifts" back when I was dancing..but weird ones like guys giving me their neckties and ball caps..there was one guy at yet another club who found out I was preg wiht my daughter and about to go on maternity leave so when the stuffed animal/flower girl came around selling the stuffies/flowers etc he bought me a set of baby Bert and Ernie stuffies for my son and baby to be LOL that was sweet too..

That's so nice that you got all those gifts, nobody has ever bought me anything at any jobs I've done.
I suppose as long as it isn't really expensive gifts then it's just a nice gesture from people.

I got a mystery gift on Gaia once, like 2 years ago. The kind where you don't know who it's from. That was a bit odd, but other than that, I've never been given anything out of the blue from a stranger.
I, myself, like to give donations, though. I would do it in real life if I knew enough people, but as it stands I only do it for my fiance and best friend.

I've only had one gift given to me on Gaia and the name of the person was on it. I'm not sure how I'd feel if I didn't know who it came from but I suppose there are some people who like to send gifts and it doesn't cost you anything on Gaia as it's so easy to get gold there.
