... "Police spokesman Franz Polzer told CNN that 73-year-old Josef Fritzl admitted holding his daughter, Elisabeth Fritzl, 42, hostage in the windowless cell and fathering seven children by her." ...(1) This sort of a story is gruesome. It almost makes you believe in demons and devils.. twisted spirits moving around tempting mortals into horrible acts. Fiends that, perhaps, dwell a little more where the ground is more fertile for their twisted natures. If demons and devils exist like that, then surely this man, Josef, must be considered one of their works of art. How could such terrible things happen. In this case, with the girl's mother and three siblings living upstairs in the same house? ... "Fritzl explained Elisabeth's disappearance by saying she had run away from home, a story backed up by letters he forced Elisabeth to write, including one that begged her parents not to look for her." ... I would suppose that that is a warning to parents to never give up looking for a child who has supposedly 'run away.' But how on earth would you know to suspect your spouse of such a thing? And, of all the horrors, in your own house? Well, from listening to the video news (breaking up occasionally, unfortunately, but still neat to find so complete coverage on CNN's website.)(2) It appears that one of the children was finally sent to the hospital because of some sickness and the hospital official found a note in the pocket of the child. A note asking for help from the mother of the child, daughter of the man, Josef. I'm a bit foggy on the exact details of that. How did a kid from the basement make it to the hospital? I dunno. Ah.. found it. ... "When Kerstin fell ill, Fritzl apparently told his wife and the hospital that his "missing" daughter had dropped off the sick girl on his doorstep." ... That's how the daughter, Kerstin's mother, got the note to the hospital workers. If not for that, how much longer would this have gone on? Shudders. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Notes: 1) CNN:'House of horror' children never saw daylight - http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/europe/04/28/austria.cellar/index.html 2) Video Coverage - ( http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/europe/04/28/austria.cellar/index.htmlcnnSTCVideo ) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is weird of the father to rape his own daughter, which is a great incest from him with seven children. I am so sorry for the daughter of the man to be kept a prisoner in the house with their children. I am looking forward to the final sentence to the man.

This is an unusal story but it happens. I know most sane people could not imagine how people could do this but there is all kinds of "cults" in this country and else where in the world that do these things but we are not made publicly aware of them. It is shocking to say the least.

That guy is a monster, some sort of sociopath. I wonder how his poor wife feels to find out he raped and imprisoned their daughter for all those years.
