One of my Coworkers took her Daughter and one of her friends to the local skating rink for the little girls birthday. She said there was a kids everywhere drink Ampd. She asked this on little girl how old she was and she told her 7. She said this little boy who was about 4 went up to the counter ( I dont know if he was by himself or not) But they sold him one. They said that since it is a Mt Dew product they consider it soda. What is your take on this situation. I personally think they are crazy. Perants too for letting there kids drink it.

16 oz of Amp contains 143 milligrams of caffeine. The 8 oz can contains 75 milligrams of Caffeine. And the 24 oz has about 214 milligrams of caffeine. It contains MDX5, taurine, ginseng, B-Vitamins, guarana, caffeine, maltodexterin and alot of sugar. People mix it with Bacardi 151 to make BUrnout#88, a different version of jagerbombs. It clearly on the side of the can says product IS NOT intended for children. But what do you consider "children" these days. I think she is old enough to say "Well I think I have had enouhg of this." But its your own decision.

Thats too far. Ampd is more than just a soda, it is an energy drink. You aren't supposed to give it to children, even with the B vitamin bonus. There is the caffeine issue, the sugar and a possibility of seriously damaging the cardiovascular system.

Hummmm never saw a kid that needed an energy drink. But at any rate I feel that someone needs to evaluate the ingredients in those drinks. I feel there should be an age limit on them. Now if mama or daddy wants to buy them then they should be held responsible if any thing happens to the kid. I am sure parents will hold the store that sells it to a child responsible if something happens to the child. I personally like NOS.
