Do you think it was a good idea for the state of Texas to take control of the children from the fundamentalist group? Many of the young girls are under 17 but are either married and have kids or are pregnant. One is reportedly only 13 and pregnant. In the state of Texas it is illegal to have relations with someone under 17. Some people think Texas is wrong to take control of the children. What do you think?

As a Texan, I'm glad they went in there and broke up that horrid place. Now, I'm not sure that all the small children, the nursing babies in particular, should've been taken from their mothers. I think many of the men should be charged with statuatory rape for what they've done to those girls.

I'm with you on that. I do think they are trying to keep the young mothers and infants together. I saw yesterday that one young girl just had a baby yesterday. I do wish the men could be charged with rape.

I agree that these children should have been removed. If this had been any of us who allowed this to be done to our children they would have been taken from us and we would have been sent to prison for many charges from rape to child abuse and not much telling what else.
I am not sure about all the children but I do know that there were some brought in friday night to a facility just up the road from me. The children range in age from 4 months to 17 years. The reports from the facility say the children are adjusting real well and are happy. They will home school the school aged ones and will not make them change their hair or the way they dress. They have so many special needs with food, clothing, certain color towels and things like that and the facility are asking for donations. The place is even going to fix part of the grounds up for a garden for them so they can have fresh grown vegetables. The children have access to the crayons, toys and things like that but they are keeping them away from the other children at the time.
Hopefully the right thing will be done with these children.
Here is a link to show the list of things that the facility are in need of.

I hope this takes you to the right place.
This facility can hold 37 children and the most they have ever had at one time is 12 so I am sure this is a big adjustment for them also.

Thanks, I too hope they will be able to adjust. Some of the kids were sent to a place just north of Houston and one south of us. I hope they will be able to adjust to the way most children live. I cannot believe how this kids have been treated (mistreated). I am just afraid that some of them may have a hard time.
