i'm sure that everyone knows of the big emphasis that was put on birth order on the brady bunch (at least i would hope so). but do you really think that the position that you were born into in your family makes a difference in the way that you're treated as a child? should it influence the person that you become later on in life?
i'm the oldest of four children- 25, 17, 16 and 6. i think that i have always been viewed as "mommy #2" by them because i am so much older. on the other hand, my husband is an only child. and in his thirties, he still expects to have all of the attention which he lovingly attributes to "only child syndrome".

Absolutely....My sister is the Oldest and has always done as she was told.
I was the One that questioned everything. I need answers as to why / how things
work and what purpose it serves. Only because there Must be a purpose.
I can't waste my time on something that serves no purpose!

Hmm. Well I am the oldest child just like you. I only have one other sibling though .. A brother. I do believe that the position that one is born into does make a bit of a difference in how you are treated as a child. It seems to me like the oldest always gets it the worst. The reason I say that is because you are like a test dummie to your parents because you are their first child. They are almost "experimenting" on you in some kinds of ways. They do not have as much experience and you get in trouble easier (especially if you hurt your younger sibling).
