ok stepson moved out now he is asking us to help him move out, want to keep working on our home business's yet we started it for him when he moved in and now he said he can't help but he wants the profits from it..grandfather paid for him to get a apartment, what happens when he calls and ask us to pay the rent when he doesn't have the money when he has constantly got money from his grandfather and his father has let him live in the questhouse 200 less and a garage and now the son think that we should keep the place open in case he can't make it on his own in a apartment. and he wants to come whenever he wants to use the garage and park his cars on our property and doesn't think we should charge him anything..when is it time to say sorry you need to make it on your own your working and a baby deal with it and grow up?

If he is getting the profits from a company that was started for him, then he should have his own money. However,if he isn't going to work for it,then he doesn't need it. I have a 17 year old daughter who works and pays her own way and is already looking at building a small home this year on some property that we bought for her. Kids need to learn to be on their own and to take care of their own bills. I would say that it is time that you teach him that he has to make it on his own.

Thank you carolscash and no the company was made for the family and he had no part in paying to get it started so we don't think that if he doesn't help promote and help us out then we will not allow him to get the benefits of it. Yes he is 19 with a child he really needs to wake up and take on responsibity.
