I hate plucking makes my eyes water like crazy not to mention getting them the same on both sides, or plucking too many. I prefer getting them waxed but with rising cost of everything its not practicle to spend money doing this. Thoughts, ideas?

I pluck my eyebrows and I don't get my eyes watery cause it doesn't hurt when I pluck . Getting them even is one of my problems too. But pain is not a problem for me. A few tips for an almost painless plucking: 1. Get as close as possible to the root of the hair, it's true. and no.2 (i think this is very important) pull really fast. When you pull really fast, it won't hurt. Remember: get as close to the root as possible and pull fast!

Nice I had no idea it would help getting as close to the root as possiable. I'll work on it. Yes its hard to get them even sometimes. Thank you so much for the tips.

I have only had mine waxed once and it was a little painful. I like plucking mine myself. It's less painful and doesn't cost me anything. Of course, my eyebrows aren't perfect, but they aren't bad either. Have you thought of getting the stuff to wax your own eyebrows? They sell the items at Wal-mart and beauty shops. I don't know the price of them though.

Depending on how much hair needs to come off is how painful it is-lol But alot less pain plucking one hair at a time I'll have to check out stores and see what is available and price. Thank you.

I pluck. Takes me only a few minutes, and it saves me money. I don't have to travel, don't have to bother with apointments. I do it when it needs done. And, after you pluck them for awhile, it doesn't really hurt anymore.

I guess I never could get over the pain and work. Your right about saving money though and right now with high prices of everything it is a good place to save.

Before i shave my eyebrows but the hair became thicker when its growing so i switch to plucking. Im happy with the results. It hurts only at first but i get used to it. I pluck 2 or 3 times a week. Its free and you can do it anytime aside from waxing =)

What about some hair removal stuff? Avon has some- I have tried it and it seemed to work quite well- it is in a small tube that is easy to apply. Put it on, wait a few minutes and take it off. I get mine waxed still on a regular basis (actually I just started doing it several months ago. But, like you, I can't afford to have it done too frequently so I use that cream in between. I am happy to send you a link to my site, but you can also just order from Avon direct. I am not sure if stores have hair removal cream for eyebrows...they must...but I don't know. I do also pluck, but if I forget or simply let it go for too long, I have to use the cream because otherwise it's just too much work...lol

I will have to check out Avon online. I didnt think about that. Thank you for the idea. I bet wal-mart has some but never thought to look. What would work? To be honest I hate plucking. I let them go till I look too hairy then get them waxed-LOL So maybe a couple times a year-lol Your right plucking is too much work-LOL
