Have you ever had to deal with this? I am aggravated!

Yesterday I had called my doctors office. I was told they would get back with me by the end of the day. I had to call them 2 times this morning to get anywhere. Anyone have a similar experience?

I work in a doctor's office. I can understand how someone might lose track of a person they were supposed to call back if they are not particularly well organized. They should be taking notes down in a memo/message book specifically for that purpose. Then, they could review their list of 'open items' before the end of day to make sure they didn't forget any.

I have not had to deal with this before. My doctor and my kid's doctor are really good about calling back. Well, it is usually the nurse not the doctor, but you know. Bummer that you had to deal with that. I hope it was not anything major that they were not getting back to you on.

Been there done that many times. It can be quite frustrating indeed. Sometimes I think it is like begging and pleading to get any results from there, and then they want to act like they are doing you a favor too. When you have to keep on taking time out of your busy day to get anywhere, it can be a challenge for sure. Especially if you are at work and have to keep on calling. Somehow the good old days of Health Care are over, and we just continue to sit and wait.

Yeah, I know. This is one thing that irritates me about people in the medical profession. They know sick people or those worried about their health approach them, and they don't seem to care. I have waited hours for doctors. And I know this doctor spends a lot of time socializing with patients. The examination and consultation doesn't take that long. And he is a reputed doctor at that!
