i think its still in new hamsphire. he would be 88 years old this news years day.

yes i guess, but his exact whereabouts is still unknown. and whether he's alive or not. anyhow, he is one of the most prolific writers of 20th century. and thanks for responding.

One of thie things i like best about JD Salinger is that despite how iconic he has become in his own life he remains illusive. I believe it has been said that J.D Salinger still resides in New York; his birthplace and what he has called his oasis. While it is certinly possible that he has moved since I wrote a paper on him, seeing J.D Salinger out of New York is like seeing a fish out of water.
