Ever watch a movie and thought,"boy, that's me - right there. Just my life"? LIke a character is the movie is you - exactly like you. MAybe with or without money or things you do or don't have, but characteristicly...just like you?
I just watched 27 Dresses. Now for me to rent a movie in the first place is a major annomally, but I had a buy one get one free coupon and I had been wanting to see Wild Hogs for awhile - again, haven't even seen a movie I have wanted to see in the first place! But back to the point of discussion... I don't even know why I picked up this movie other than my daughter thinks I am Fashion Challenged and this was about dresses and I thought - why not see what she thinks I am missing! Didn't have much to do with dresses per say but the Jane character ... good grief, that is me. Thing is, I won't have the happy ending she had, but oh well. It is just a movie after all! But it was odd to me "me" on screen.
Ever happened to you?

I must be strange because I've never seen any characters that are like me in a movie. I've seen some characters that are like me a little, but not exactly. I mean, I probably agree with that person's point of view or we had similar childhoods, but I haven't seen myself reflected in any character. I have seen children that acted more like I was as a child in real life than I've seen characters in a movie act like me in any stage of my life.
That's interesting, though.

Well, this character wasn't exactly like me, just had the personality and the convictions I have. I don't have the money she does or the fabulous job and things like that, but it was odd to see the same values and goals.
