Do you like corn bread?

There are a lot of Spanish stores in my neighborhood and I've noticed they sell bags of corn meal at a good price. I used to buy the Jiffy corn bread mixes once in awhile but I finally decided to buy the corn meal and make some cornbread from scratch. I've always like cornbread muffins and my Mom used to make a big pan of it when the feeling hit her! Not only do I like to have a piece of it with an egg in the morning but I'll have one during the day as a snack with some butter on it with a cup of tea.
Do you like cornbread? Do you make it often or just once in awhile?

My family loves corn bread with bean soup. I like to put honey or molasses on mine sometimes when I want something sweet. I always make mine from scratch now days. some years ago we had taken a trip to Charleston SC and ate at a fish restrauant that has the best biscuits. They had put cheddar cheese in them so I do this with mine all the time now.

I love cornbread. I am a southern girl so of course i love corn bread!! I sometimes get wild with mine and add cream style corn, sour cream, and onions and chedder cheese it is yummy. I also make a mexican corn bread with mexicorn, jalapenos, and cheese. It is all good!

I like cornbread. I have not had cornbread in years! I always just bough the mixes. I have never made it from scrach. My grandma had a recipe of how to make it from scratch but I have never tried it. Cornbread does sound good.

I love cornbread but rarely make it - I have a bag of cornbread mix in my cupboard that someday I really need to make but haven't!!
I love it smothered in butter & will eat it with just about anything!

We eat corn bread fairly often. I haven't been adventurous enough to make it 100% from scratch but I do buy the mix all the time. It is so cheap and a great addition to any meal. I like to do corn bread and beans instead of rice and beans.

Actually I LOVE cornbread and always make it from scratch...Its nice to have with a cup of coffee or tea AND its great to have with Jerk Chicken too which is a huge thing in the summertime here!

Oh yeah! My entire family loves corn bread wiht soups and stews!
We have it just as is. Sometimes before baking we put small pieces of either blueberries or strawberries into the batter.-YUM!

I love cornbread. My mom made it all the time when we were little. We'd put beans on top of it and eat it like that. She always made it from scratch then. Now when she makes it she uses the mix. I don't think it's nearly as good. I don't really make it because it doesn't make sense to cook so much just for one person, but maybe I will have to rethink that.
