This is a plant I have and it's called something Mantles. Not sure of the full name but it has the word mantle in it. The leaves are fuzzy and hold water and dew drops very well. This shot was taken right after a rainstorm. Look closely at the big drop of water. It is covering the veins in the center of the leaf and it actually looks kind of like a watermelon. Do you think so? Have you any shots like this at all of water drops sitting on a plants leaves or stamens etc? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Daisy photo with Dewy Misted Effect - image of a daisy with water droplets
That is weird and you're right it does look like a baby watermelon on top of that leaf. I've a number of water droplets on flowers, but in most case I"cheated" by misting the flowers to give them a dewy look

Kewl Looking - A tad fuzzy looking but still a nice shot
You can tell this was smisted as the droplets are all pretty uniform in shape and its too symetriclally set on the leaves. But a nice shot. get up earlier maybe to get the "true" dew look? Hee he!! Here's another shot of one of the whole plants after the rainstrom. The big drop can be seen in the middle right kind of of this shot. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

That daisy photo was actually a "studio" type shot..I sure wish I did have a garden to take photos of plants or flowers, but alas that's the price I pay for living in an apt. building--no garden..waaahhhh

Lady's Mantle with droplets - lady's mantle with water droplets
I think this photo is good enough to enter in a contest. Seriously. Here's a picture of lady's mantle - is that what you have?

It does look like a watermelon. That is pretty neat. I haven't ever gotten a picture of my plants while there was still water on them. I did take a picture once about two or three years ago of a bush with beautiful flowers on it and didn't realize until I got home and was looking at the picture on the computer that I had captured a bee in the photo. It was such a good shot that it looked 3-D. Unfortunately, my computer crashed before I was able to get the picture onto a disk. I was so mad when I lost that picture and haven't been able to get a shot like that since.

Hey, you are right. It does look like little baby watermelons. You must have a really good camera. Any pics that I try to take that closeup just don't seem to come out that clear. GREAT Shot!!!

Beautiful Water Drops - I love to see transparent and beautiful water drops.
I have never taken a photo of a plant where the water drops are sitting, but next time if I see a beautiful plant with nice-looking drops, I will try to take one for fun. Thank you, Grandpa Bob.
