Why we still have wars in some places

When I was young,I learned that people often kill each other in wars.I thought that wars are no longer exist in our civil society now,they were only buried the long river of history.But seeing the news around the globe,wars still exist in some places and people still kill each other.
In wars, millions of people may be killed by other humans.You know what?Animals rarely kill their own kind. Male wolves, for example, may have a bloody fight to decide who will lead the pack. But the loser just lies down on his back and surrenders. The loser is not killed.
That's why it strikes me ,does it we human are crueller than wolves? Can we just get along with each other in peace?It's so pathetic that we kill our own mankind in wars.

hi gnxyfly-man is its worst enemy-most are cruel and couldn't care less for humanity, most wars are started in the name of religion it makes you wonder what knind of god there is meant to be-you are right about animals they do not kill unless it is to feed-as Pye said once supposing it was the other way round we were the animals and they were in our place-for one there would be none of us left-animals would be living a peaceful life!!!-littleowl

Humans are differetn from beast.. Humans are much smarter and humans do revenage even on small things.. But animals, they dun have the intelligence to back stab or betray, thus they dun kill each other.. ANd plus, animals do not have the technology to kill, it's using pure strength.. Thus survival of the fittest..

war is business that is why many nations engage on this so rare business. if war happened the economy will drop but business engage in weapons will up to the highest level. war also is the result of selfishness and pride. they want to dominate also and become know. war is worst now because of unexplained attitude of human beings. peace will start from within us. we must first show peace in ourself before others, for own opinion will never happened this time, everyday the crime up to the highest level that no peace now is already a vision but no reality.

you got that right. i don't care if america wasn't in the race,
someone would try to pick on our country, and there would start the war. people are ignorant for wanting to fight all the time.
why can't they just get along, and let everything be?

It would be so great if all of mankind could just live in peace. I don't think that I will live to see that day, but it would be nice just the same. I think that there is too much greed in the world, with greed, people often want what someone (or some other country) has. War is not always due to greed, sometimes wars can be for good reasons such as to gain freedom for oneself or for someone else. It is truly a shame though cause it affects everyone around, even some of those not directly involved.
