Is being philosophic towards life helps...

....at east to some extent? I believe it does because the number problems faced by us are increasing day by day. Unless we are a bit philosophical, I think we can not cope up effectively with life. What do you say..

Being somewhat philosophical about life helps in making a lousy life a little more livable. When one is high on the hog there is very little need to be philosophical but it does happen and a rich man would think that he is doing something right and start lecturing everybody on his favorite topic, himself and his ideas.

I am told that I am far too pragmatic and this makes many of my friends quite insane. One of my friends says that I am not very good at being a "shoulder to cry on" because when she needs me to "be there" for her I switch in to pragmatism. I suppose that this true but it is my way of dealing with things.
I believe that a philosophical approach to life in general is necessary. We also have to also have to have a heart and soul though.
