Do you put post it notes on your computer to remind yourself of tasks?

Sometimes I use my post-it note google gadget to make tiny notes to myself. That way the note is always in front of me on the screen while I'm working, so that I don't forget the things I need to do online. I make computer post it notes about potential MyLot discussions, responses, sites I love and more.
I could simply use regular post it notes, but they would be everywhere. I hate a mess! How do you remind yourself of important events while online? Do you write a note and stick it to the wall? Do you use an online organizer or reminder? How do you keep yourself focused when working online or at work?

That is a really good idea, I have never heard of that before but it sounds like something that I could do with.
I just have a notebook and I jot things down in that, but it is not very organized at all. I know that I need to organize myself more efficiently because I need to manage my time better. I have told myself that I will be organized when I get back off holiday, as there are loads of things I have planned that I want to do, but will not stand a chance of getting it all done unless I get more organized!!!

I'm using my computer sticky note gadget to keep my ideas for Mylot. That way I always have something to post when I sit down at my computer. I keep track of important stuff like dates, bills due, etc. I'm always going to be near (or at) my computer, so I can guarantee I'll always see my notes. I have a paper notepad too and my stuff is junked in there. I have hundreds of mylot discussion ideas written down in my paper notepad, but I never read it, so I never post those. How ironic is that?

Vista comes with a note pad gadget so I use that when I need to remind myself of things. Most of the time I use my calendar for daily reminders.

I like post it notes but they waste money and trees and don't always stick. I found a program online that is free that allows me to add notes to my desktop. It's so much easier for me to open that program, add the note or make the list and be done with it. I'm always here anyway so it's much easier for me since it doesn' waste money, paper and doesn't create any clutter.

My partner found a program online that you download to your computer for post it notes. I use these more often that I would regular post it notes because then I don't lose them. I have a very bad habit of losing things and also forgetting where they got put.
