You did not say what State you are in, but you should start with the State Attorney General's website, which will have links to run a criminal background check. I think that you can try to search the internet but I think you won't be getting much of the details that you need to know. Good luck, though.

Not that I know off. But if you search the internet hard enough using the person's name and clues from the stories told as well as towns he/she lived in, you can undig a wealth of information yourself. It just takes some time and good detective work on your part.
