active X control

Does anyone know how to disable my Active X ? I run my AVG software scan and it's always picking up bad acitve X spyware and trojans, although I've not had any problems since I started using this spyware, it's just annoying that it keeps geting the same problems over and over again Thanks for any help! tdemex
