I sometimes feel disturbed when i get a call, at the time of my prayers, because, i can't keep the call unattended, so i have to take a diversion/ break from my prayers and attend the call received.
In the sense, prayers i feel are a medium of bringing peace and tranquility to the mind that constantly wavers all along the day. So, if one receives a telephone call in between the prayer, the purpose of the prayer gets defeated, because the mind gets preoccupied with the conversations that we had in, while attending the call, so it is hard for oneself, to concentrate again on prayers even after attending the call.
So i have decided to switch of the mobile phone while doing prayers.
Any similar experiences to you, my comrade?
Cheers.

i totally agree with you saiven. one should really turn off the phone or put it on silent mode when praying or when inside a church. because it does not only disturb yourself but also other people who are praying. when i'm inside a church i make sure that i put in silent mode my cellphone. and i don't answer any calls when i'm inside a church.

Sure I do.
I usually pray before I close my eyes to really sleep. Sometimes I just pray with eyes closed anyway.
Since I switch off my mobile when I sleep, I guess it is a YES to your question!

I will switch my mobile phone to a silent mode in special occasions, such as the concert, mourning time, conference etc. I don't like people who don't follow this rule as it's not polite and proper for your mobile phone rings in these occasions.
I love China

Hi saivenkaat802003! I completely agree! I do switch mine off too. I do believe that if I am praying or if I am hearing mass, a phone call or a text message will disrupt my meditation. It is very difficult for me go back to concentration whenever this happens so, it is best for me to just switch it off and just turn it back on, after I am done with my prayers.
Take Care and God Bless! Happy Mylotting!

Hello,Mr.venkaat! While praying or meditating, one should renounce all worldly thoughts and engagements.than only the purpose of prayer is served.so it will be better for you to switch off your mobile phone or slow down the sound so that it would not disturb you at the time of your prayer.we usually switch off our phones at the time of prayer and worshiping the deity at home. thanx.
