How do you thread your needles?

It used to be really hard for me before I got my new contacts. I had to wear my contacts and then put on reading glasses to see the eye of the needle. Now I have new contacts and can see the eye much easier but today my needle threader on my embroidery machine has broken and I have had the hardest time trying to thread my needle. I tried so long I finally gave up for the day. LOL
What I want to know if how do you suggest threading this crazy thing? I guess I'll have to get a needle threader and thread the needle from teh back and try pulling the thread through the eye of the needle.
What suggestions do you have and how have you finally gotten a needle threaded after trying so hard? Thanks for your posts and God bless you.

I find it hard to thread a needle if the light isn't natural. I do have a needle threader but I do find it hard to use.
I find it a bit easier to thread the needle if I sit right under the ceiling light, that way I have enough light and it is almost like direct light and I can see more clearly than if I try and use a table lamp light.

I have my machine right in front of the window but for the life of me, I cannot hit that little hole. It is comical a little bit because I see it but when I go to thread the needle, it just slips right by it. LOL

cant see the eye to thread a needle now, have a little machine thing that I put the needle in then the thread round and it threads it. Have you seen the needles that you just put the th.read through the top and it stays in, I have saw them and wondered about getting them

Yup me too. That seems to be the only suggestion I am coming up with is the famous needle threader. LOL Thanks for the post and God bless you.

LOL I haven't threaded a needle in so long. This thought just came to me, maybe try dipping the end of the thread in some hot wax, and it makes it stiffer to thread through the eye of the needle. Not sure if it will work or not but maybe worth a try.

I usually don't have a problem with threading the needle unless it is a very very fine one. If they are like that I will use that little needle threading. Saves a bunch of time and of course the patients.

Yes I think I'm going to have to bring out the needle threader. I thought I'd go back in a few minutes and try again. Thanks for the post and God bless you.
