My parakeet won't lay eggs

I think it's maybe because they are both males. It happens that one of them has a blue beak but the other one has not colour on it at all.

that could be it. and they could be to young as well. parakeets are fully grown adults at 6 months. Sometimes they won't ever lay eggs. Do you have a nesting box for them or an area for them to nest in? how big is their cage?

Hello!
Thank you very much for your kind response. They have been with me since february 14, 2005, and I have placed the nesting box in the cage in two ocassions, for a period of six months each time, but nothing happens.
The first time I found the nest full of little bugs and I removed it immediately.

You just might have two male birds. As for the little bugs could of been mites and birds do get them. Call your local pet store and see if you can take them in and have them look at them they should be able to tell you if they are males or females. If not them a vet could.
