Do you do general discussions, specific discussions, or try to mix it up?

I do a lot of specific discussions. But I have a lot of friends with varying interests. So I try to start some general discussions, too. For every few specific discussions, I try to do a few general ones so people won't get discouraged. Sometimes I get a lot of discussions that don't apply to me, so I just move on. So do you try for questions that are general, specific, or some of each? This would be one of my general ones.

I have to admit that I mostly post about my cats. I don't think about what I post that much, I don't start that many posts.

That's pretty specific. If you find enough things to posts to answer, then you probably don't need to start very many. Each person is different here, that's part of what makes everything interesting.

I know, I mostly post about my cats, but they are what I'm mostly involved with.

I mix it up..Sometimes I am just curious as to what other people think of something or I actually want advice or a solution to everyday problems..This is why I love it here and so miss it, I learn so much..

I think I do both, whichever comes to my mind. I don't really stick to a category or type of discussion and I tend to go with my flow. Sometimes they are really specific and on situational base, but sometimes they are more general, especially those for opinions collecting ones.
