Well I have the grandsons over today as we are going to the car races this evening. Hunter my youngest loves Buster so much and loves making him do his usual tricks I taught him. This is Hunter making Buster sit so pretty for his Milk Bone. Buster will stay sitting until he is told "okay" then he will ever so gently take the treat. He is a well trained dog. Does your dog do tricks and is he/she also very gentle in taking treats or food from your hands?

Wow! You can make your dog do that? That IS a really well trained dog!^_^ How many years did it take you to teach him that and did you start when Buster was a puppy or something?
I do have a dog and he doesnt have any tricks like that. He's more like the Mr. Congeniality dog in the neighborhood since I think all of the neighbors know him. He's really friendly and lets people pet him if they want. He used to walk with me to the street corner when I have to wait for a jeep so I can get to school. When I come home from school and he sees me, he runs as fast as he could to me and then jumps around trying to hug me or something.^_^ That was when he was younger. Now he doesnt anymore and we finally have a car so my Dad takes me to school. About the treat, yeah he is very gentle when I give him something and he needs to take it from my hands. He is very careful not to bite me or anything and sometimes I am amazed by it. He lifts up a a side of his upper lip a bit so he can gently bite the treat and take it from my hands. He also takes time with it making sure I dont get hurt.
As for tricks, well, whenever he doesnt want to come inside but we call him. My Mom sometimes give him a treat so he would be enticed to come in and someone will shut the gate so he cant get out. He got fooled once and never again. Whenever we do that again, he just doesnt take the treat anymore or he just zips out the gate.LOL^_^
Thats the only thing he does. Hope you had a great day.^_^

Yes Buster is very well trained. He will sit on command. Lay down on command, give me one paw when asked, then when told 2 paws he gives them both, he will roll over on command, and he will jump on command. I can't get him to speak on command though. It took some time but it is so cute seing these tricks especially when my grandsons have him do them. Buster is all too well known in our bneighborhood as well. he has opened the gate and climbed the fence to run around the neighborhood. One of the neighbors usually brings Buster home on a leash for us. Sometimes we have to drive around hunting for him. Your dog can be taught tricks. It just takes time and hard work. Always reassure him he did well with a treat and a good dog as well.
