A safe place to put things.

Do you have a "Safe place" to put things so you don't lose them? I have a safe place for the special items i have. But theres items i'm given to keep care of or to make sure don't get lost so i put them somewhere "safe" that i think I'll remember because its "logical". That safe place always goes missing or gets forgotten until months after the item has been replaced. Does that happen to you?
