Do you read other comments before adding your own or not?

I have received many (over 30) responses to one of my posts. About half of these ask the same questions and I have already given the answers to these. How many of you actually read the previous responses before posting your own? It drives me nuts sometimes!

I respond via emails so I don't see otyhers responses and or comments but add mine anyhow. Then after it's posted I read the responses and sometimes feel bad if I answered the same as many others. But that's just how it goes. I have seen this in my discussions as well as a lot of others discussions so I just let it fly by under the radar. I don't mind seeing the same answers in mine as long as they aren't flagrant copies etc. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Oh, I don't mind the same answers over and over. It's the same Questions that drive me nuts. Maybe I should just start saying, "See my response to No. #". Maybe that would work.

Some times i would skip those discussions totally, after responding to one or two comments, just as you said.. it ignites a sense of boredom in repeating the same thing for 30 comments received. I take for granted that let the person read the entire discussion and will understand the nuances of it.( making money) P.S: One last question.. from me, friend.. " how did you manage to make almost 3 dollars a day? hahha.. just i was kidding..

Most times, I will skim down and read all the responses. I suppose there are some times when I don't read them all as I should. It's hard to read four pages of responses and after doing so, I feel like I have nothing worth adding. Many times, I've experienced the same thing you mentioned where people keep asking the same questions or stating the same things over and over again at my own discussions. And, honestly, there's only so many times that I can type out the same or similar response. I figure that they're either copying each other or just haven't read the previous responses. Either way, they don't usually get a follow up! They haven't worked for it, so why should I bother? But I'm always looking for signs of intelligent life both at my own discussions and other members! This was a fun topic! Don't often get to talk about this kind of frustration with others. Thought that I was the only one who went through these things!

Hahaha! Nope, you're not alone! It is frustrating! I guess I'll have to use your method of taking care of this type of problem... just stop answering. It sounds a lot easier!!!

I would like to say I do read through comments and sometimes I do but it really depends. Depends the subject and where my mind is at the exact time Im replying. I had that happen to one of my smoking responsces and if why more person asked me why I smoked :-)
