I've been looking into getting some software for photo editing and have heard/read mixed reveiws about Adobes Photoshop Creative Suite 3 software. Do any of you have it or use it and if so what do you think of it. For those of you who use other programs for this sort of thing, what do you recommend?

I have been very satisfied with my KodakEasyshare. It meets all my needs for editing, adding borders, making greeting cards etc.

Oh I have the Kodak Easyshare too (my camera is a Z650 I think) but I am looking for software to do more than just simple editing etc ya know. For the standard stuff though the Easyshare program rocks..I had a program that came with my old fuji camera too and it so sucked LOL

GIMP is free, so you may want to try that, but I can say Photoshop is better. I have used version 6, 7, and CS2, and I owned version 7 as part of a package of bundled software, so I got a lot of experience with it. Unfortunately, I lost my copy of Adobe Photoshop 7, so I moved to GIMP, and it really isn't bad, but it's a lot harder to use.
Overall, I think Photoshop is great, but you shouldn't buy it unless you do a ton of graphical work, because it is very expensive.

YOU ROCK!! I dnld GIMP over the weekend and have been having a freakin ball with it! I'm still getting the hang and feel for it all but thanks so much for mentioning it...You are my hero
...I still want to get Photoshop but using GIMP will give me time to experiment with my pics and whatnot

Once you get Photoshop, tell me what you think of it. I think GIMP is better considering it's absolutely free, but, as I said last week, Photoshop is easier to use. GIMP has a more cumbersome interface in my opinion, and it doesn't help that I was already familiar with Photoshop when I tried GIMP.
