since i don't have my broadband for almost 2 weeks or so, i just bring my laptop with me in school and use our wifi for free. but guess what? when i got home, i was playing wheel of fortune on my laptop and i notice that my wifi button was flashing which means that there's a wifi spot near in our house. so i just go outside our house and find if someone's using a wifi. luckily, my laptop found some wireless network and i tried if i can use it (for free) and if it's not restricted lol voila! i feel so lucky, i can surf and hang out in mylot again even though i don't have my own internet but i know this kind of thing is what we call stealing but if i have a time later, i would tell the owner to let me use his wifi for a while he can charge me if he wants to lol

You are really so lucky, rhane. It's a total different going on here. Our phone line was cut for almost a week. We have no connection to the internet as well. Well, thank God, it's back to normal now. And the connection is also doing great now...

Do own up to it with the owner, that way if you ever need it again he would probably let you use it because he will feel that he can trust you not to take advantage. Also you won't feel like a theif !

Hi! congratulations! I wish I was lucky as you. My laptop can connect to wifi but I have tried testing it before that maybe there is a small chance that there is a wifi connection someplace. I have broadband internet but its connected to the desktop and I sometimes need the internet connection in my room whenever there is a major project or something and Im doing last minute things to improve or finish it and thats probably around the early hours of the morning where everybody else is asleep and I cant use the desktop because the hum of the CPU sounds much louder in the quiet night. I dont think that there is someone close to my house who has wifi connection. You are really lucky and what a coincidence that you were playing wheel of fortune. You really had the luckiest wedge on the wheel that time huh?^_^

Youre very lucky indeed. But you must tell the wifi owner as soon as posible before someone do, maybe because of your honesty the owner let you use their wifi....that's another lucky you...happy surfing...

You are really lucky rhane, after your broadband broke, you could still surfing net free Sharing the wireless network with an unknown owner lol. I do have the similar feeling as you, to tell the owner to see how to share with him his wifi. Then we don’t feel as if we are stealing anymore. Good luck and happy posting.

Wow that would be great but I admire you if you do what you said looking for who the owner of that signal and pay her what is due her. I guess the owner of that signal does not know that her signal is being used by others well.

good for you to enjoy such thing. here in our province, there's no available wi fi yet, so there's a need for me to be connected with the internet through broadband, and pay my monthly bills.

I applaud you for showing your honesty in wanting to approach the owner and offer to pay him. I am sure that if you approach with that attitude, he will have no problem granting your desire.
