'my pictures' folder under 'my documents', are they my pictures to use and upload or are they copywrited photos?
I can be really dumb. If this is another one of my
"I am an idiot" questions, please be kind. LOL

Normally I'd agree with the others because what they said makes perfect sense and is what I used to think about those images BUT...I tried uploading one for my myspace default photo and it was rejected for going against the myspace guidelines. So I can't say for sure that they are copywrited, it might just be a myspace policy, but be careful if you try to use them anywhere.

foxyfire_ Ah! you killed me. I almost decided it would be safe to use them. It's hard to say why myspace rejected them, I don't use myspace.
Now I don't know what to do! Why did they put the pictures on my computer if I can't use them? And if I can't use them, wouldn't it have been nice if they left me a little note? GGRRR

In a way, it's a good thing. At least if we're not allowed to use them, the 'computer' senses the copywrite stamp and won't accept them.
That way, we won't be going to jail.
It's tempting to try and see what happens? There's only one or two pictures that are good enough to upload anyhow. Maybe it's not worth it.
Oh here I go, back and forth again in my mind. It's 12:30am here and I need to sleep even if I don't want to.
I'll check back in the morning and see if anyone else wants to answer my dumb question. Maybe we'll all learn something. Or maybe I won't wake up tomorrow and I'm wasting what little time I have left, worrying.

If it came with your computer, it probably came with other people's computers too which would make it a public domain photo which should be able to be used by you too.
