Please help me - what is "MySQL" errors and how do I get it to work properly!

I have started to have several problems where the ptc sites that I use keep getting error messages. After talking to some friends it seems that they have no problems with the sites, so I assume it has to do with my computer! It is weird though, the errors has "moved" and changed, but are simliar (I think). First they were on one site only, now this site works but I get the error messages at two other sites instead! The error messages are saying that there are "mySQL" errors. I do not remember what they say exactly but they change the site so that only these error messages is visible instead of the links to click. If there are say ten links there are ten of those messages instead. Does anyone recognize this problem, or is there a computer wiz out there that can tell me if it is my computer/internet/ISP or the sites problem? How can I get rid of it? I have tried deleting all saved files like cookies and temporary internet files but that doesn't help. It was like this from when I started the computer so I doubt restarting it would work either! I'd be happy with any suggestions! Thanks!
