Do you add Tags to other peoples' posts?

When you comment on someone else's post (like this one...come on go ahead you know you want to) do you add tags when asked before posting? If so, do you ever see them on the discussion. I sometimes Add them but I've never actually seen them on the post. I've even checked but later to see if they just took some time to show. Do these tags after the fact actually mean anything? PS as an experiment, I'm asking anyone who responds to this post to be sure to add tags, But make them totally irrelevant to the discussion, Just make up something crazy. xD
