I am just wondering how come when it comes to sharing our opinions about saving the earth or keeping the environment healthy and clean, we responded very little. I have scanned almost all the posts and most of them don't have any response. I am very happy that my two posts have response but the thing is its only like 0.01% of the population in myLot who responded. I think most of the response are in the gossip part of myLot.
Saving the environment is very important. The topics doesn't sound interesting but it concerns us all. There are many things we can do to help save or maintain healthy, clean and safe environment. Please be aware that eventhough there are organizations and scavenging patrol, our individual participation is highly needed. Remember: Prevention is better than cure.

I fully agree with you in keeping our surroundings clean and hygiene. Only thing is that the measures to be adopted for this must be sincere and involving. Not only that one should follow in keeping the environment clean, others who are ignorant of this should be made to realize of the need.It is sorry state of affairs that many people preach and advise others but do not follow suit. We must practise by ourselves first before advising others. The stage wise adoption must be shown right from our home ,then to our city ,and then finaly to our country as such.Measures adopted by the govt. authorities have to be supported by each one of us.You are right! "PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE".

Hi Shyama86, I'm very glad to meet you. You are definitely correct. In other for the rules to be followed, our rulers should practice it first. Yes, everything starts from our home, then to our city and so on. Our individual support is needed not just by the organizations for commercial and publicity purposes but by the earth itself. Our cleanliness is our safety. Thank you so much for a wonderful view. Take care =)
And so, you are the third person who cares. Me, JudithP and you (shyama86).

I will respond because I'm a firm believer that we as caretakers of this earth are not doing a very good job. We recently moved into an old house and the previous tenents left refuse and garbage everywhere. Old tires, old piping, you name it, it's here. I spent many hours on line doing research and we were able to recycle about 75% of the stuff. I found a site in Australia that taught me how to use the old tires for gardening. I've use the old piping as stands for our bird houses and now the cats can't get to them. The old chicken wire fencing is being utilized to support my peas and climbing beans. The only thing I couldn't use was the old car batteries. I did find a garage that bought them because he recycles them and sells them as used. None of it went to garbage collection. I'm quite satisfied with myself.

Hi JudithP, I am very glad to meet you. I know this topic/post will have very few responses but I don't care as long as I am able to inform others that there are people like me and you who really cares about the planet earth. I know there are organizations out there but individualy we can do it... be a part of saving the earth...on our own backyard. Congratulations! My thumbs up to you! You are a good citizen. Thank you so much for sharing what you have done to those old things. Take care =)
