Extract password protected rar file.

How to extract rar,zip compressed file. I am using a free version of winrar and i got a file internet and i really needed the file but fortunately it was password protected. is there anyway to unrar this file? please help me guys.

I don't think it's quite possible to open password protected file, especially the encrypted one. Maybe someone know how to do this by illegal ways...
