Most of them say usb 2.0, so will it work if my comp only has usb one? I don't care if its slow, i just need to move things off this comp so I can return it to my friend :O

All USB2 products will work with USB1.1, albeit a far amount slower due to the reduced transfer rate. The USB2 system is backwards compatable with USB1.1 and either will work with each other.
I would agree with Asylum, beside the slow access you'll be receiving the prompt "The device will work faster if attached to a USB 2.0 hub" every time you plugin the USB2.0 drive. You can safely ignore that since you don't have one.
