I am married to a Dutchman and find it hard to learn the language. How many languages do you know how to speak?

I only know English, but did take 6 years of Spanish back in the 70s during my school days. I could never grasp Spanish as I lived in NJ and thought I would never go to Spain. Who knew I would live in Los Angeles where Spanish is the norm and we are like the minority. A few years ago we decided to do a bowling party for my son when in third grade. He gave an invitation to each student in his class and no one showed up. They did not seem to comprehend what RSVP meant. I am considering taking spanish, looked at the community college but time is not good for me, so maybe an online course will work.

That is my next step. There are a few online courses I have found. I am seriously considering buying a cd. Then I can approach it at my leisure. I would have my husband here to help when I goof. Learning a second language can be difficult.
