The largest Cracker plant(chemical factory) in China was hit by a big fire, the largest flame as high as 40-50 metres. The plant was located in the city of Maoming, Guangdong province. The fire was basically put out at 7 o'clock, June 3rd. Luckily there's no one hurt, but the water in the well nearby is as black as ink. The reason is still under investigation, tentatively it may casused by thunder. Big distrater to local people and the envionment-----
Guy, please share what will you do if a fire broke out.

Hi Lynette, The first thing I do whenever I visit a new building is to check where the exits are as I have been caught in a house fire where I had to get my own and others children out. I was visiting a friend at the time. It is scary. I would immediately leave the building in the calmest safest way I could and then call the emergency services after making sure I had done a head count to make sure all in the building were out safe. If it were a small fire and extinguishers were available I would try to put out myself. Ellie :D

Thanks, ellie. I've been trained a little about the safety, yeah, it was told that we should check the emergency exit at first in case of any emergencies. That's important. And also i have to mention that there are different kinds of extinguishers, and these may be used under different circumstance. We can't screw them up, otherwise, the behaviors to put out fire may on the contray add the danger. This was what i learned in my junior chemistry classes
