The Chinese say that taking a cold shower is not good for you because it takes the body a long time to get back into the optimum temperature but the Indians say that taking a cold shower makes your body strong and doing it every day makes you impervious to colds. I don't know who is right.

Sudden changes in body temperature can have affects on the human system that it cannot handle. Hypothermia & heatstroke being extremes. In the case of a shower it would depend on the water temperature. The human body can have affects from sublte cahnges as 1 degree depending on the individual. In your case it sounds like you have "tempered" your body for this cols cleaning process (lol). Polaar Bear Club?
I would say that taking a cold shower and them explosing yourself to contant colder temperatures would cause harm. Taking a cold shower and then slowing allowing your body warm up is alright, if you can handle the cold.
There was a show a few weeks ago about a guy who ran a sled dog trail in nothing but running shorts. No shoes, no shirt, nothing btu shorts. Extremes like that cause harm. He almost lost his toes.

How would that affect our body? I think there is no reason for it to be bad for our health (or maybe it can do harm but I think that harm would not be enough to have THAT much of a damage)
Anyway, I think it would be better if you bathe in hot shower when the weather is cold so that your blood vessels would not dilate more and more (talk about anatomy! lol!)
