I can recall just a month or so ago that many members would leave comments on their friends photos in discussions. Now I seem to be lucky to get one comment on mine as opposed to a month ago I'd get 5 or more on almost each photo. It doesn't earn us more but it does make a member feel like they know that members have viewed the photo in full screen mode not just the small photo. Personally it is no big deal but it seems many members are taking so many shortcuts now days here to earn that quick penny at whatever cost. Seems they don't want to waste that precious moment to look at them. Afraid it make take a pennys wage from their time here. I may just stop posting photos because seems not many look at the full photo anyhow. A waste of my time and what not here. Others don't take the time to look at it fully why should we take the time to post it? I may just add them to interest groups to earn the money instead of my discussions. That's my monthly rant. Later all.

I usually do look at your photos and rate them positive but I don't always leave a comment. I would miss your photos if you quit adding them to your discussions. You always have nice shots to go with your discussions and they are very much appreciated. I will try to leave a comment from time to time. I am so far behind on responding to discussions these days, for my inbox in quickly approaching 3000.

..forgot to say - don't quit the pics! (if you can help it) I love 'em.. gonna start posting pictures myself.. even if they hardly get looked at.. After responding in the discussions of friends and looking at the pics.. I feel like I've had a chat with them! I think that's what makes mylot fun.. maybe folks are burnt out after a busy month of cool weather, and now they're outside enjoying better weather.. have a good evening.. hope there's no more tornadoes!

Aww..GRANDPA BOB--don't fret..I've posted many a photo here too to illustrated a discussions and haven't had comments either...sniffle, sniffle. In fact I've often notice even when others post photos that comments aren't left. I don't think it's so much a person doesn't view them, but just maybe don't think to leave comments--But I solemnly vow...that for now on, I'll leave a comment on your posted photos if you leave one on any of mine..deal??

If you check your photos you'll see I always leave a comment if I get the email notification. I am always leaving comments on freinds photos. Don't feel you
HAVE to comment please. Don't do it because I ranted etc.

I sure hope it don't come to you and others that put pictures up in the discussion to stop. I for one do enjoy them all. I always look at pictures full screen. Some I do leave a message on but if I have too much to say I just go to the discussion after I look at the picture and post. I do rate the picture whether or not I have a comment and they always get a + rating from me.

Yes you are a loyla commenter. I do have a couple like you. But I just get discouraged when someone responds saying it's a great shot yadda yadda yadda, buyt adds nothing in the comments. How can I know they really looked at it full sized. Oh well life goes on with or without photos here.

Please don't quit posting the photos! I enjoy them so much! I didn't know that commenting earned you anything, I'll make an effort to do so beginning tomorrow. I look at nearly every photo you post and you have such a good eye at composition.

I try to at least view all the photos that you have posted, if not respond to them. It seems as if a lot of things are going down the hole in the mylot world lately. I think that the hike in cost is making everyone hungry for money,and not as many people are enjoying responding to people as they used to.
I try to do both, but i'm not going to lie to you and say that I don't try to make a pretty penny. I have my reasonings, but I don't feel that I should give someone a lousy response... Atleast I try not to.
Don't stop posting pictures Grandpa Bob, I enjoy looking at them, and i'm sure a lot of other people do too.

I have noticed MANY members, friends nad non firends seem to be cutting corners now that the pay is a bit better. This keeps up and things will falter quickly. Either the site falling apart or the pay rate being super bad as it was long ago. I dunno what I want to do anymore. I don't even have the urge like before to post or respond like a few months back due to so much shortcutting. It's not as interesting or fun anymore. I am tired of so many people posting news discussions that anyone can find anywhere. Anyhow have a great day/evening.

I understand what your saying. I do not like the way this site seems to be going. I wish that there was a more comprehensive way to register so that the new members had to read the faq's and general information before joining. It may make new members less but atleast it will keep an even flow here.
Like, I myself said, I try to write new exciting posts that no one else has discussed, but If I can't do that, then i'd rather just respond. Just don't stop adding pictures. Good Luck!

Thats what your mylot friends are for, go ahead and rant. We will listen to you. I know I am one of the guilty ones lately, I haven't had much time on mylot. I do try to make a few post and don't take the time to always comment on the pics. Sometimes I don't even see the pics, I usually respond thru my email. I will try to do better and I am sure some others will too. we don't want you whinning to much. We don't want grandma Deb mad at us,

I always look if there is a picture with a discussion, and I always rate. I just do not always comment. I wish it could be more than just our friends leaving comments. I often come up short when I look at a photo, and go to comment and that person is not a friend. Perhaps myLot should also pay for comments on photos like they do responses to discussions. I will miss your pictures if you stop posting them.

I will miss posting them as well. But I will save on batteries though. I want to comment on a lot of photos but having to be friends with the member sucks at that point.

I agree with you GardenGerty one of the biggest problems members can only rate friends photos. Bob would get a better response, if everyone could rate them. I don't always leave a comment, but do look at many pictures.

Well dont blame me I hardly ever comment on photos ever. I just never really do once and awhile I will. I do look at the pictures in full mode not to sure why i dont comment i just dont lol.

Several people have answered to the reason your not getting more comments.
The first one is no notification for photos and this is a big one for me. I have posted that I read my e-mail and them come to the board.
I have already mentioned many times I'll look at a photo, but not comment. My business is open, so have less time to comment on my friends list. I'm considering shrinking it again, so each member gets more of my time. I haven't decided, but yesterday had a record low for earnings.
The money is great and most of us need the money. Gas is almost $5.00 here, so I must post more where I'll make some money. My daughter is in college and we are paying the bill. Sorry I wish money didn't mean so much, but this year my business is in trouble.

I will look at your photos if and when I come across them. I just got online tonight and this is the first discussion so far that I have seen of yours. I will comment in the discussion about your photos though. I may come across some of those this evening. I hope more people view and comment on your photos too. I think alot of us are pushed for time each day though, but it is not just for Mylot. I work alot of other sites daily also.

Aww sorry you feel that way AGB! I always look at the photos in full screen (my eyes aren't good enough to make the small ones out) and I always rate them but I very rarely leave a comment - not because I am too busy trying to earn more money (you know me better than that I hope) but because usually I feel as though I am only repeating what I say in the discussion - where I usually mention the photo! I do love your photos. I also post my photos. I still have not been getting my emails when a friend starts a discussion. I have writen to myLot several times. they have not even writen me back the last few times I did write them.
Keep posting the photos, I know people are looking at them even if they do not post a comment.

I don't know what I am going to do about photos and myLot in general anymore. getting frustrated as of late is all.
That's another reason I am getting to hate this place is the emails. I wrote them saying they are basically taking pay away from us members that don't get emails etc as some members do not get notice of my discussions causing me responses and vice versa. No answer. AS USUAL GRRRRRRRR!

this could be the problem sometimes to see the photos you uploaded because i can't see the photo before i post a comment on your discussion. i respond it from my email notification so no photo shown below your explanation. it's hard for me to see the picture because it need first to open your profile and find the exact discussions, sometimes if your mention picture i will skip the discussion because i can't saw picture on it.n all of my respond is from my email notification, i am dependent on it so that no discussions from my friends that i would skip to respond or read. sorry grandpa!
