I just watched one of the scariest pieces of sci-fi cinema, especially considering that I watched it on a computer. The movie is called "Colossus: The Forbin Project". It was made back in 1970 and it is way ahead of it's time. It is about an American computer that becomes sentient and takes over the world with the aid of a twin Russian sentient computer that were originally built for defense (naturally). It's corny, yes, a bit funny too, but a few of the reasons that the thing's so scary watching on a computer is that computers now talk with voices (speakers) and Windows will not shut up with the error messages so sometimes you get the feeling you aren't in control!http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0064177/

That sounds interesting. I might check that out. Thanks for sharing. Right now, electronics are taking over our lives in a way. Some people have said that they wouldn't be able to live without their cell phone/blackberry/whatever thing. So imagine if they were secretly programming us to become hooked on the gadgets. I think it's a scary thought.

You've an excellent point. I don't have any of the gadgets you mention, but I am a mouse junkie. * As for cell phones, there are no pay phones any more. They're going the way of the Dodo bird.

OOh-ooh creepy. Did you feel like you were in the Twilight Zone? I don't usually like sci-fi but that sounds like it might be worth watching. I've been thinking I might watch the sci fi channel more since nothinggood seems to be on this summer.

I rented this film from Netflix. But it was a little like watching an episode of the Twilight Zone, and it is more relevant now than it was when it was made. It stood the test of time!
