Free Paint Program Needed: Any good ones?

Can anyone recommend a good free paint program compatible with windows vista that doesn't contain adware or spyware? Thanks.

Yeah but for some reason it the only program that causes my computer to freeze up and act crazy for some odd reason.

Check out the open source http://www.tuxpaint.org/ very similar to paint, simple and very easy to use. You have to download this one and install for you to use it. WinXp, vista, linux and mac are supported. For photo retouching try http://www.picnik.com/ an online free photo editor. If pictures are from the web then Firefox's Fireshot plugin can do simple image editing like annotation, doodle, crop, shapes and others.

So far I've been trying that FireShot and it's hot. I'll also try other recommendations you've provided. Also BIG THANKS to EVERYONE who responded. I'll definitely be testing all these suggestions to find which works best for me.

I think paint(dot)NET is good for you, a free paint program specially and free for all Microsoft user. http://www.getpaint.net/
