What is hancock about??

I saw the commercial dr hancock and I was totals confused. I had no clue what it was about. Like is will smith a homless guy then somehow becomes a super hero or is he born with his powers? And why in the add is he sent to jail? This movie looks like it will be a pretty sldecent movie but if I can't understand it then I dont think of will be worth wartching.

From what i have heard, Will Smith is a drunk homeless man that has super powers. As you can see in the commercials, he is always out to save the day, but everytime he tries to something or someone, he ends up messing something else up. I am really looking forward to this movie, it looks very funny and it has Will Smith.

its about this superhero now when i say superhero you think of , oh superman batman , and all those others saving the earth from disaster , NOPE , Hancock can care less about the people on earth cause he's just trying to get by ..say its like another Superman flim but Superman has lost his job and puts his fulltime Super heroing to a very Part time level ...it looks great i will go see it
